Fae spawning behavior

Fae can spawn when all of these conditions are met:

• You have unlocked mana and currently have less than your maximum.
• Fae spawning and leylines are enabled in the dimension.
• The nearby ley value is at least 13. The center of a leypoint meets this requirement.

The game checks every five seconds. FAE_SPAWN_RATE controls the chance of each check spawning a Fae.

The chosen position must be air at your Y level within 10 blocks, so open space improves the chance of a successful spawn. Listen for bells and use Mystic Eyes of Fay Sight to see the Fae.

Breeding

Use any of the seven powdered catalysts on a Fae to put it into breeding mode. A Fae normally drops 1–2 Fae Essence when killed, with Looting able to increase the result.

Fae circles

Use Fae Essence on a block face to place a blank Fae circle in the adjacent space. Using it on Spell Cloth places the Fae circle directly on the cloth. The action consumes one essence.

Add the same three powdered catalysts used for an ordinary spell. Fae-created circles are initially owned by the Fae.

A Fae-created scroll can be used by any player, and the player using it pays its mana cost. A Fae-created Boundary can be toggled by any player; the first player to do so claims the circle and becomes responsible for its later mana costs.

The owner of a Mana Circuit can also use Fae Essence on the circuit to toggle shared access.

Faecake

Faecake toggles Fae spawning for the player who eats it. Eating one stops Fae from spawning for that player; eating another turns spawning back on. Activating Mystic Eyes of Fay Sight also turns Fae spawning back on.
