How to use

Release the scroll to spend FAY_SIGHT_MANA_COST and apply Mystic Eyes of Fay Sight for FAY_SIGHT_TIME ticks. Recasting while active adds the configured duration to the remaining time.

Function

Fae

While Fay Sight is active, normally invisible Fae become visible to the caster.

The effect also allows Fae to choose the caster as a creature to approach and orbit. Fae continue past nearby players lacking Fay Sight to seek an eligible creature.

Leylines

While Fay Sight is active, the caster can see leylines. Client settings control their render distance, height, and rune appearance.

Fae spawning permission

A successful cast allows Fae to spawn around that player again, even after Fay Sight expires.

Eating Faecake disables the permission again. Casting Fay Sight later turns it back on. Actual spawning still requires an enabled leyline dimension, sufficient ley strength, a player who has unlocked magic, valid open space, and the ordinary Fae spawn chance.

Leyline Elytra boost

Players using an Elytra directly over a leyline accelerate in their look direction. LEY_ELYTRA_LIMITED_TO_FAY_SIGHT=false enables the boost for everyone; true requires Fay Sight.
